About James: Having founded an enterprise software consultancy that was
one of the earliest to see the potential of Ruby on Rails, James Lindenbaum and his co-founders set out to build Heroku. James was a managing partner of the consultancy, Bitscribe, which focused on bringing agile software practices into the enterprise. Prior to Bitscribe, James built a large-scale distributed software system to track copyright piracy across peer-to-peer networks. James has been programming for 20 years, studied finance at Boston University, and
is technical advisor to several next-generation cloud startups.
